The Radiant Chain does not replace catalogs, museum records, auction archives, or scholarly research. It provides a durable framework through which those histories can be preserved, connected, and independently witnessed.
In LampMark, provenance comes first and technology follows. The historical chapter is assembled through evidence, context, and stewardship. The blockchain is where LampMark publishes independent witness after that chapter is complete.

Each night, newly locked Silver chapters are gathered, transformed into Merkle Trees, and independently anchored to Polygon. The witness becomes permanent, and the shared historical record grows stronger.

A Network Of Provenance
The Radiant Chain is not simply a registry of isolated records. It is a network of provenance in which one artifact can cite another when history meaningfully overlaps.
This capability already exists. During Add Provenance, contributors may reference other LampMark records by slug when those relationships are part of the historical story.
Sometimes that means coins from the same collection. Sometimes artifacts discovered together. Sometimes matched sets, family heirlooms, museum relationships, or a longer provenance chain that spans multiple records.
Each artifact still keeps its own independent history. The connection itself becomes part of the chapter, preserving how records relate without collapsing them into one timeline.

Geographic Provenance
History happened somewhere.
As the record deepens, provenance chapters may preserve meaningful places connected to an artifact: a mint of origin, a discovery location, archaeological context where appropriate, a museum exhibition, an auction venue, a documented transfer, or a historical event tied to the object.
The purpose is historical context, not surveillance. LampMark documents the history of artifacts. It does not exist to track people.
Place can illuminate sequence, authenticity, and significance. Preserved carefully, location strengthens historical understanding without shifting focus away from the object itself.
Provenance Tools
The Radiant Chain can be understood as an evolving toolkit for historians, collectors, researchers, museums, and future generations of stewards.
While The Radiant Chain is open to individual collectors, its design also supports museums, archives, researchers, historical societies, dealers, and future institutions that wish to contribute enduring provenance.
Linked records, geographic provenance, collection lineage, exhibition history, research annotations, institutional archives, and cross-record exploration are natural extensions of the same philosophy already present in the system.
The goal does not change: preserve history without rewriting it, and make each chapter durable enough to be revisited, studied, and independently verified over time.
